It was the winter of 2012 in Afghanistan and my fourth deployment overseas.  During this time everyday seemed exactly the same, so we decided that Fridays should be marked as a known reference point, especially during gym time.  Tank Top Friday was born.

One fateful Friday we were all called into the Joint Operations Center (JOC) for a very important briefing to the General of our Area of Operation about a mission, and I was not told it was a formal occasion.  So I show up, in a tank top, on a live feed with the 4 star himself.  Being that everyone was dressed in their finest Crype Precision uniform I was easily identifiable.  Well more than usual amongst a crowd.  This is where Tank Top Friday became a tradition...
